Heading to Cuenca is arguably the most charming with its cobblestone streets, old-world cathedrals, colonial parks and urban river, it became a hot spot for expatriates and retirees settling down to live. Safety, low cost of living and pleasant, although slightly cool climate attracts expats to settle down in this small Andean city.
Ending your trip in Guayaquil, it is not only the beating commercial heart of Ecuador but a vibrant sprawling city, growing ever more confident with several hillsides and colorful favelas, but it’s the Río Guayas’ malecón (the riverfront town square) that defines the city’s identity.

Tour Details

Day 1:  Arrival to Quito, transfer to your hotel.
Day 2:  Half day tour in Quito to explore the church of La Compañia, the Independence Square with the Government Palace and the Cathedral, then a visit to the famous hill of the old town, Panecillo (little bread) where you will see the angel statue “Virgen de Quito”. Then a visit to the Equatorial Line Monument called “Middle of the World”..
Day 3: Free day at leisure with Optional: Visit of the Indian market Otavalo.
Day 4: Drive to Cotopaxi National Park, one of the most attractive ecological reserves of the country, then a walk near the shallow lake “Laguna de Limpiopungo” at an altitude of almost 4.00 m. End the trip with a visit in a beautiful flower plantation to take photos.
Day 5: Drive to to Quilotoa, the famous volcanic lake with beautiful views. In the late afternoon you will continue on to Riobamba, which is the capital of the province of Chimborazo, the highest mountain of Ecuador to spend the night there.
Day 6: Take the train for the famous Devil’s Nose ride and enjoy the fascinating landscape of the Andes.. On your way you will stop at the Inca ruin site of Ingapirca, the most important monument of pre-Spanish culture in Ecuador..
Day 7: Half day tour in Cuenca to see the historical buildings, located along the Tomebamba River, the “Todos los Santos” ruins, the flowers market and the main square with the old and new Cathedral. Then a visit to Panama hat factory before returning back to your hotel. 
Day 8: Land transfer to Ecuador’s largest city Guayaquil, Enroute visit of a cacao project. Upon arrival in Guayaquil short sightseeing tour of the city. 
Day 9: Breakfast then transfer to the airport for your departure flight.
